Assisting the homeless is one of the most effective means we have to reduce poverty and crime in our city, and it is the foundation for opportunity and prosperity for our citizens in the future. Helping those in need allows them to become more active and meaningful members of our great city.
Please support the Dallas Help the Homeless WalkAThon because it not only benefits those in need, but also benefits our beautiful, vibrant city. Funds raised will go towards providing homeless individuals with permanent, supportive housing such as CityWalk@Akard, located in Downtown Dallas.
Raising awareness of the devastating condition of our homeless neighbors and helping to prevent and end homelessness is a very important challenge and mission that merits the support of all us, whether from the public or private sector, as it continues to empower our community.
