Help The Homeless Walk & 5K

Beneficiary
Proceeds from this year's Walk & 5K will be used to support The Bridge, a campus of services from 14 co-located agencies who provide healthcare, mental health, and addiction services, along with services from VA, Social Security, Texas Workforce, and Legal Aid. The agency is focused on getting the homeless back on their feet into health, jobs and housing. The Bridge serves 1400 homeless guests a day with case management and day shelter services that include meals, showers, mail, phones, storage, library, barber, and a kennel for the homeless guest with a pet companion. There is night shelter for 325 and outplacement for more than 900. There is also a transitional shelter program on site.
The Bridge’s mission is accomplished in collaboration with City of Dallas, the Dallas Housing Authority, the County of Dallas, The State of Texas, Parkland Health & Hospital System, NorthSTAR, the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance, and the private community.
